Sapiens Sapiens?

Ladies and Gentlemen =)
Im here today to start a sequence of posts about some things that makes me wonder if we can really be called Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
We know that we know, but in some situations we really forget to think racionally about what are we doing and about the consequences of our actions.
Blinded by money, consumerism, instint, fanatism and many other things, the human race forgets compassion, friendship, love and faith to fight for they’re own stupid goals.

Related to that, I’ve just finished to read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a great science fiction comedy written by Douglas Adams. Take a look at this quote, in chapter 23:

"For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much - the wheel, New York, wars and so on - whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man - for precisely the same reasons."

Maybe we're not the smartest after all =) In these posts, I may show you why o/
